Martha Baggett Sheldon passed away on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011. She and her identical twin sister were born on Jan. 16, 1916, to Joseph A. and Savannah J. Baggett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison William "Bill" Sheldon; her sisters, Zula Baggett, Jeanette B. Clarke, Mary B. Smith, and Betty B. Dickinson; brothers, Joseph A. Baggett. Jr. and Elbert J. Baggett. She is survived by her daughters, Mary, S. Craft and Dorothy S. Williams and son-in-law, Russell Kenneth Williams; granddaughters Shelly C. Andes and her husband, Paul Andes, Sarah S. Northrop and her husband Michael S. Northrop; and great -grandchildren, Tiffany and Paul Andes and Charlotte Lily Northrop; and sisters-in-law Mildred and Martha Baggett. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Martha graduated from Tampa Memorial General Hospital as a registered nurse prior to joining the Army Nurse Corp. She and her sister Mary were the first set of identical twins to join the US Army. While stationed at Ft. Bliss, TX, she met her husband of 56 years, Bill who was serving with the 7th Calvary. She enjoyed and loved her husband and family. She owned and ran with her husband Sheldon's Launderette for many years before returning to nursing. A wonderful cook and seamstress, she was also an avid bridge player after her retirement and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was known for her friendly, open and frank quick wit. She was a resident of Winter Park, FL, for over 61 years and lived the last 20 years of her life at the Winter Park Towers
