William D. Fields

GLENWOOD -- William D. Fields, 75, died Jan. 5 at Wheeler County Hospital.

He was a native of Wheeler County and a resident of Glenwood. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. Before his retirement, he was owner and operator of Glenwood Drug Co. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: his wife, Wilda Baxter Fields of Glenwood; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Freling H. Scarborough III of Lilburn and Jeanine and Rod A. Meers of Greensboro, N.C.; and four grandsons, Allen, Daniel and Michael Meers and Freling Scarborough IV.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Ronnie L. Stewart & Son Funeral Service, Glenwood Chapel, burial in Glenville City Cemetery.
