Leroy S. Lee, 77, Brainerd, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at his home.

He was born May 26, 1922, in Hendrum to Lawrence and Sara (Lee) Lee. He retired as a federal examiner in 1982. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European theater with the Ninth Air Force, 410th Bomb Group, 644th Squadron. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 255.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda; two sons, Duane, Bloomington, and Greg, Columbia, Maryland; four grandsons; two brothers, Herman, Borup, and Irving, Ada; one sister, Ardis Engel, Moorhead; one stepdaughter, DiAnne Bubalo, Brainerd; and two stepsons, Dan and Keith Bubalo, both of Brainerd; and one stepgrandson.

His parents and his stepmother, Alma Ness, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastors Juli Sutton-Deem and David Holte officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd. Military rites will be by the Brainerd American Legion Post 255.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home, Brainerd.
