She was a native of Bulloch County and was a graduate of Georgia Southern College. She was a retired schoolteacher, having taught in the Bulloch County school system for 40 years, and she was a member of Langston Chapel Methodist Church near Statesboro.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle O. Reed of Marietta and Mrs. W. H. Stephens of Twin City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Smith-Tillman Mortuary in Statesboro, with burial in Eastside Cemetery.
