William M. Bond, 88,
of 539 Guilford Avenue, husband of the late Mrs. Helen Delaney Bond, died at the Washington County Hospital Monday evening, aged 88 years. He was born in Harpers Ferry, son of the late John H. and Sarah (Piper) Bond. He had resided in Hagerstown most of his life.
Mr. Bond was the owner of Bond's Restaurant. He was a life member of the Potomac Fish and Game Club, and the Antietam Fire Company.
He is survived by sons, Leon D., Creston H., and Kenneth L., all of Hagerstown; brother, Albert Bond, Long Island, NY; half-sister, Mrs. Viola Coker, Loganville, Ga.; half-brother, Mac Bond, Millville, W.Va.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Norment Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
