MERRIFIELD -- John L. Struthers Sr., 84, of Merrifield, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at his home. Born Sept. 13, 1914, in Faribault, to Ami Lyle and Edith (Burk) Struthers, he was a member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 4th degree Knights of Columbus, Lions Club and the Eagles Club. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Dondelinger, Bemidji; two sons, John R. Jr., Chippewa Falls, and Richard A., Pelican Lake; three sisters, Edith O'Connell, Charlotte Dent and Dorothy Sheritan; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. His wife, Marguerite, and a brother, Thomas, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Christopher's Catholic Church with Father George Zeck officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Monday and one hour before services Tuesday at the church.
