Charles F. Bozzelli Sr.,81 Of Cherry Hill, NJ Charles Francis Sr., age 81. On March 7, 2011, "Charlie" passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Born on April 16, 1929, Mr. Bozzelli was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Jennie "Jean" Bozzelli (nee Cattalo). Charlie and Jean were married on September 24, 1949 and were married for nearly 60 years. He was born in Philadelphia, the loving son of "Stella" Natalina (nee Vignola) and the late Louis Bozzelli.

Charlie was a 1947 graduate of South Philadelphia "Southern" High School where he was a Football Star and member of the 1945 "All-Chigaudi-Team" Public High and City Champs. Through his teen years, Charlie was a lifeguard at a Philadelphia public swimming pool on Reed Street. Following high school, he served as a Corporal in the Army National Guard, 111th Infantry. He then began a career as a switchboard engineer at I.T.E Circuit Breaker Company, continued with SPD Technologies, and was a member of UAW Local 1612 Amalgamated Region 9. He retired at the age of 65.

Charlie raised his family in Folcroft, PA, where he was also a licensed barber and cut hair at the "Village Barber Shop" in Folcroft, PA, the shop that was owned and operated by his father, Lou. Coin collecting gave him much enjoyment, Atlantic City was a favorite destination and he loved chocolate. Following his retirement, he moved to Woodstown, NJ and in more recent years to Cherry Hill, NJ.

He was the brother of the late Alfred Bozzelli. Survivors: His sisters Rosemary (nee Bozzelli) D'Angelo and her husband John of Philadelphia and Anna Marie (nee Bozzelli) Roberts and her husband Bill of Worton, MD; his brother Father Albert (Joseph) Bozzelli of Worton, MD; his 3 children Charles Bozzelli Jr. and his wife Denise of North Lauderdale, FL, Lisa (nee Bozzelli) Mutter and her husband Michael of Woodstown, NJ, and Bill Bozzelli and his wife Kristen of Logan Twp., NJ; 7 grandchildren - Andrea Bozzelli, Rebekah (nee Mutter) Johnson and her husband Gary, Rachael (nee Mutter) Nichols and her husband Connery, Sarah Mutter, Amanda, Nicholas and Matthew Bozzelli; 1 great-granddaughter Gianna Bozzelli.

He took great joy in being with his grandchildren, and looked forward to seeing them grow and change; they will miss him very much. Interment: Charlie will be laid to rest, with his wife Jean, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside celebration there on Saturday, March 12 at 10:30 AM. Family and friends can meet near the office on Baily Road to process out to gravesite.
