Death of Edmund Crosby - Edmund Crosby died suddenly yesterday, at the home of his son-in-law, W. H. Mead, 335 Clackamas Street, at the age of 86 years and several months. His death was wholly unexpected. He was in his usual health and spirits and partook of his breakfast, after which he sank quietly into unconsciousness and death.
Mr. Crosby was born in Alens, Mass., April 9, 1823, and came to Portland in 1901, having made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Miss M.E. Crosby ever since. Edmund B Crosby is a son and the late Mrs. Florence Meade was a daughter of the deceased. Mr. Crosby belonged to an old New England family each member of which lived above 80 years.
The funeral will be held today at 10 A.M. from the family residence 335 Clackamas Street.
