Mary Lucille "Marylou" Bond Thomas, 70,
of Hagerstown, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Sept. 2, 1932, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Della Wolfe Bond.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles H. Bingaman and Benjamin Thomas.

She co-owned Bay Jewelers in Hagerstown and Waynesboro, Pa., from 1971 to 1982. She co-founded, was on the board of directors and was a past president of WJAL-TV Station 68 of Franklin County, Pa. She also was a receptionist at WKSL from 1990 to 1993.

She was a member of Calvary Temple Church in Williamsport where she taught Sunday school to children and adults.

She was a volunteer at Washington County Hospital and the Prison Ministry.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Lou Miles of Hagerstown; three sons, Robert Z. Roane Jr. of Smithsburg,
William A. Roane of Maugansville and Charles H. Bingaman II of Hagerstown; one step-daughter, Erin Thomas of Hagerstown; a sister, Shirley Reese of Smithsburg;
a brother, Floyd Bond of Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Bond.

Services will be Tuesday at noon at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
