Peggy S. Bass, 78, Rogersville, passed away at 9:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in Cox Medical Center South. She was born September 19, 1932 in Rogersville, Mo., the daughter of the late Harry C. and Lottie (Logan) Breedlove. She was united in marriage on March 1, 1952 to Charles William "Bill" Bass.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Kim, a grandson, Justin and a brother, Jamie. Peggy was member of Rogersville Church of Christ. She enjoyed doing Jigsaw Puzzles and Reading, but her greatest love was family gatherings and her Grandkids.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Bill; a son, Kevin Bass and his wife Jane; three grandsons, Travis Bass and his wife Heather; Jason Bass, all of Rogersville; and Corey Bass, Springfield; two granddaughters, Kylie Frieze and her husband Jamie, and Megan Chaffin and her husband Chris, all of Rogersville, four great-grandchildren, Rachel, Olivia, Sam, Braden and (one on the way), Owen; a brother, Bill Breedlove and his wife Blondie, Springfield, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 in J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery, Rogersville. The family request memorial donations to the Fair Haven Children's Home and/or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
