Mrs. O. P. Anderson Paid Final Tribute at Funeral Sunday

Well Known Glenwood Resident Dies of Heart Trouble

An expression of friendship and appreciation of the love and kindly spirit of the deceased was shown by the large attendance at funeral services held in the Glenwood ward chapel Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Dorothy R. Anderson, 45, wife of Oliver R. Anderson, who passed away at her home Thursday of heart complications.


Bishop Elmer Sorensen presided at the services. Speakers were H. H. Bell, J. H. Payne and Andrew OIdroyd. Resolutions of respect from the ward Relief society, of which Mrs. Anderson was secretary, were read by Mrs. Maggie Payne, and sentiments were given by Mrs. A. J. Ence of Richfield.


Appropriate musical selections were a solo and chorus. "My Father Knows," by Harry Sorensen and the choir; a quartet, "Though Deepening Trials," by the Misses Ruby Thurber and Marian Bean, Ed Mortensen and D. N. OIdroyd; a solo, "Wonderful Mother of Mine," by Fontell Peterson; a duet, "Sometime We'll Understand," by Mrs. Eva Heilesen and Mrs. lillian Sorensen; a duet "Rock of Ages," by Misses Ruby Thurber and Marien Bean, and the closing song by the choir.


The invocation was offered by Henry Peterson, and the benediction by Albert Oldroyd. Interment was in the Glenwood cemetery. Niels W. Oldroyd dedicated the grave.


Mrs. Anderson was born September 10, 1887, at GIenwood, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Rickenbach. She was married to Oliver Anderson in June 4, 1908, at the Manti temple. She was active in the service of the church for the past 19 years she was secretary for the Glenwood ward Relief society.


Surviving Mrs. Anderson besides her husband are four sons, Feno, Berkley, Odean and Cleston; a daughter, Utahna; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Rickenbach: three brothers, Rudolph Rickenbach Jr., George Rickenbach and Joseph Rickenbach: four sisters, Mrs. Annie Hooton, Mrs. Roxie Peterson, Mrs. Leona Turpin and Miss Virginia Rickenbach. All of the family live at Glenwood with the exception of Joseph Rickenbach, who lives at Monroe. Mrs. Hooton of Central, Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Turpin, both of whom reside at Fairview.
