Evelyn Louise Weems Evans, age 64, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, June 16, 2008.
She was born July 2, 1943 at Homer, La., a daughter of the late Luther Weems and Ada Stanley Weems.
Evelyn was a homemaker, and worked in childcare, helping at many area church nurseries.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Sidney Evans Sr., to whom she married Aug. 2, 1958, at Shreveport, La.
She was also predeceased by a brother, Clifton Weems.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Pustelnik and husband Brian of Pine Bluff; four sons, Sidney Evans Jr. and wife Jackie of Rison, Carl Joseph Evans of Pine Bluff, Thomas W. Evans and wife Lisa of White Hall, and Bobby Evans and fianc/ Tammy Cook of Pine Bluff; a sister, Bobbie Cardin of Houghton, La.; seven grandchildren, Kenneth Pustelnik, Sarah Evans, Michelle Evans, Shawn Evans, Leah Evans, Crystal Medlock and Ronnie Kier; and one great-grandson; a special brother- and sister-in-law, Ray and Betty Evans; father-in-law, Willard (Pap) Evans; and a whole bunch of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 19, 2008, 10 at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Brother Charles Cantwell and Brother Don Evans officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
