"Mrs. Alice Welliver Dies At 65 After Prolonged Illness
Mrs. Alice Allen Welliver, 65, of 920 Roosevelt Avenue, died today in a local hospital following a long illness.
She was a daughter of Rev. Don A. Allen, an early day Fresno minister who organized the Grace Methodist and Trinity Methodist Churches here in addition to many other valley churches. He died in 1929. She was born in Kansas.
She was the wife of William R. Welliver, the owner of a Fresno plumbing concern.
Other survivors include a son, William R. Welliver, Jr., of Fresno; three daughters, Mrs. Olga Lamb of Walla Walla, Wash.; Mrs. Georgie (Florence) Sweeney of San Francisco, and Mrs. Myrtle Willis Cavett of Fresno; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Roberts of Fresno, Mrs. Laverne Van Sandt of Coalinga, and Mrs. Mary E. Soles of Kent City, Mich.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The Stephens and Bean Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements." END
