He married Geraldine Kay (Dunson) on February 28, 2011 having been together for over 13 years and she survives him of the home.
Edward enjoyed bowling and camping as well as watching OU football, he loved art and drawing as well as spending time with his grandchildren. Edward was a Facilities Maintenance Worker for Haskell Indian All Nations University. Edward was a US Army veteran where he served in Vietnam.
Edward is preceded in death by his father, July, along with his brother Richard Bailey. He is also survived by his mother, Lena Bailey of Holdenville; Daughters, Lena Meely of Muskogee, Michelle Meely of Del City, Malinda Osborn of Seminole and Stacy Patterson of Pinckneyville, IL; Sons Edward Bailey Jr. of Okmulgee, OK, Michael Mull of Waterstown, NY and Joseph Mull of Ft. Sill, OK. He is also survived by a brother Wayne Bailey of Holdenville along with a host of other family.
Pallbearers are: Eric Bailey, Kurt Bailey, Kenny Chambers, Stuart Osborn, Gene Harjo, James Holata. Honorary Pallbearers are: Charles Bailey, Tom Stewart Jr., Russell Stewart, Mark Holata, Matthew Holata.
Wake service will be 7:00 PM Friday March 11, 2011 at Middle Creek #2 Baptist Church. Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 12, 2011 at Middle Creek #2 Baptist Church with Rev. George Harjochee officiating. Internment will follow in the Veterans Section of Holdenville Cemetery with full military honors.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral home, Holdenville.
