Born July 17, 1898 in Goshen, Indiana, daughter of the late George W. Connor & Lydia (Klingaman) Hopkins & Step-father, Walter James Hopkins.
Sadie lived in the Akron area for 60 years. She was a member of United Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Seymour Getz, who passed on January, 1971. They were married on August 22, 1914. Also deceased is a son, Clifford Getz; and her only sister, Mabel Grace (Connor) Gibler.
She leaves daughters Mrs Irene (& Ward) Ingersoll, Norton (both have passed); Mrs Opal (& Odius) Todd, Port Orange, Fla. (both have passed; sons Seymour I (& Margie)., Cocoa, Fla. (both have passed), Melvin F. (& Betty), Freeport (both have passed), Richard Warren (& June), Clinton (Richard passed in 2003); 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Prentice Kenmore Chapel. Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.
