Statesboro, Ga., May 1 - Mrs. Minnie Lee Johnston, 84, died early Tuesday morning in the Bulloch County Hospital after a few weeks illness.

Mrs. Johnston was a well-known citizen of Bulloch County having lived here most of her life. She was a member of the Methodist Church for over fifty years.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. John Oliver, Miami, Fla.; one brother, Paul T. Chance, Augusta, four grandsons, James W. Johnston, Statesboro, John W. Johnston, Roanoke, Va., Kimball and Lane Johnston, Statesoro; two granddaughters, Lt. Julie Johnston, Ozark, Ala., and Miss Mary Johnston, Statesboro; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Statesboro Methodist Church with the Rev. John S. Lough officiating. Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery. The body will remain at the chapel of Barnes Funeral Home until the hour of the funeral.
