She was born in Plaquemine on Sept. 3, 1921, grew up in Port Allen and moved to Baton Rouge after marrying in 1946. She was a talented seamstress, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Della, who was called "Bugs" by some of her nieces and nephews, had a wonderful sense of humor, the ability to accomplish anything that she set her mind to do and a special love for horseback riding. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, March 10, from noon until service at 2 p.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by three daughters, Jean A. Merchant, Ann and husband Doug Burgin, and Sue and husband Tom Dunn: son, Lloyd Jr. and wife Dyke Arboneaux; grandchildren, Cliff and Brenda Merchant, Emily and Matthew Medici, Jessica and Randy Dornier Jr., Mark Dunn and Madalyn and Olivia Arboneaux; and great-grandchildren, Ashleigh McDonald, Malachai Sanders, David and Gabrielle Medici, Julia and Luke Dornier.
