Guy Earl Washburn was born on December 26, 1940 to Earl Loren and Claribelle (Doze) Washburn at Norwich, Kansas. He passed away on March 5, 2011 at the age of seventy.

He attended Norwich schools and graduated with the class of 1959. On July 7, 1975, Guy was united in marriage with Rose Wohlschlegel Harding. They were blessed with twenty eight years of marriage before her passing in 2003.

In earlier years, he worked at Coleman Manufacturing. Later, he was the Harper Hospital Maintenance Plant Operation Manager until his retirement.

Guy served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #11449, American Legion, Jeff Long Post # 104, the Harper Lion's Club, later transferred to the Harper County Lion's Club and was also an E.M.T.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosie; granddaughter, Michelle Crain; and great granddaughter, Ryleigh Harding.

Survivors include children: Elaine Armstrong, Joe Harding and his wife Mary Ellen, Shelle Mathes and her husband Ron, Shawn Harding and his wife Charlotte, Troy Harding and his wife Jan; eighteen grandchildren; forty one great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; special friend, Minnie Helm; many other relatives and friends.
