A native of Kerrville, Mrs. Motte was born February 8, 1906, to the late John T. and Delilah Bishop Moore. In 1927 she married Mr. James Renwick Motte. For many years Mrs. Motte was employed in the tax-assessor collectors' office of Kerr county, where her father had been elected or appointed offices for 41 years and her late brother Jack served as sheriff.
Mrs. Motte died July 9, 1989, at a local hospital in San Antonio where she had resided for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her sisters; Edna Moore, Ethel Moore, Blanche Moore Brown, brothers; John T. Moore, Jr., Andrew F. Moore, and Lew Ward Moore. Survivors include a niece, Mrs. H.B. Hardin of Lewisville, Kentucky; a nephew Jack W. Moore and wife Joan of Houston; and numerous grand nieces and nephews.
