MRS. SALLYE FRANCES BROWN BURNUM-

Funeral services for Mrs. Sallye Frances Burnum, active in church, cultural and educational work in Decatur for many years, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Joseph Walker officiating, with burial in Decatur Cemetery. Mrs. Burnum died Sunday night at her residence at 512 Ferry St. NE.

Born in Stevenson, Mrs. Burnum graduated from Florence State College and was the widow of the late H.D. Burnum. The Burnums moved to Decatur in the early 20's. Mrs. Burnum was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church and formerly president of the Women of the Church at First Presbyterian Church here. She was a member of a number of organizations including the Progressive Culture Club.

Survivors include a son, Hubbard Denson Burnum of Birmingham; two daughters, Mrs. J.B. Gebhardt of Moorestown, NJ and Mrs. Robert Boggs of Birmingham; two sisters, Mrs. N.H. Coleman and Miss Alice Brown, both of Florence; seven grandchildren.
