Farmer Dies
MONTICELLO - Ernest R.
Magee, 73, rural route 4, Monticello,
died at 6:45 a.m. Friday
in the White County Hospital,
where he had been a patient for
one week.
Born Sept. 25, 1891, he was
the son of James and Estella
Paignry Magee. His marriage
on May 10, 1925, was to the
former Mary Cohee, who survives
Magee was a farmer and a
veteran of World War I. He was
a member of the Delphi American
Legion and the Hickory
Grove Church.
Other survivors are a daughter,
Mrs. Helen Holmes, of Monticello;
one grandson, five stepgrandchildren
and four -great
step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m.
Monday at the Miller funeral
home, the Rev. Clyde Lehman,
officiating. Burial will be in
Riverview cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home after noon Sunday.
