Served in the U.S. Army during the First World War of 1917-18
After the war, he settled in the Williams AZ area working on several local ranches until he started to work with the Williams Fire Dept. from 1926-60 when he retired.
He died on Nov. 17th, 1978 of a stroke at age 84. He was buried with full military honors in the Mountain View Cemetery by the Local Legion & VFW Posts.

Just an FYI - Have not found proof, but the family believes his middle name was Bunger. He moved to Winslow, Navajo County, Arizona BEFORE WWI as he registers for the Draft from this county. In both 1920 and 1930 Censuses, he lists that he is a lineman for 1920- Railroad and 1930 - Stearn Railroad
