Don graduated from Ardmore High School in 1951. He served in the USAF from 1951-1955. He worked on the T-33 and F-86D Sabre. He was stationed at Lackland AFB and Perrin AFB. He lived in Ardmore in 1957 and was an insurance salesman for Home State Insurance. Don sold life insurance most of his life. Later he mowed lawns and served food to school children. Don loved garage sales, collecting kerosene lamps, fishing, and hunting. He was survived by his wife, 2 sons, a daughter, a son-in-law, 2 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, his mother, Edith Armstrong, a brother, J.D. North and his wife, Myrtle, and extended family.
