Laura Barnes Jones

Rock Island, Tennessee resident and Warren County native Laura Barnes Jones, age 90, was born March 19, 1917 and passed from life on November 6, 2007 at River Park Hospital.
A homemaker and a member of the Harmony Church of Christ, Laura was the daughter of the late James Dexter Barnes and
Cora Maud Elliot Barnes. She was married to Howard H. Jones who preceded her in death on July 10, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her son, Billy Ray Jones; her four brothers, G.L. "Coon" Barnes, Willard, Tom and
James Barnes and one sister, Novella Bratcher.
Laura is survived by one granddaughter, Laura Ann Cooley of Coffee County, Tennessee and several nieces, and nephews.
Service was held on Thursday, November 8, 2007 in the High's Chapel with Phillip Rowland officiating. Interment followed in the Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, Tennessee.
