Willard Grady "Bo" Abbott, age 73, of Lumberton, NC died on January 23, 2010 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.
He was born in Robeson County, NC on January 9, 1937. He was founder and President of Bo's Food Stores and a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church in Lumberton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Willard Abbott and Maude Willoughby-Abbott; and one sister, Ernestine Burroughs.
Mr. Abbott is survived by his wife, Margaret Clark-Abbott of the home; one son, Bo Abbott, Jr. and wife Suzanne of Lumberton, NC; one daughter, Jean Davis and husband, Terry of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Paula Lee of Monroe, NC; four grandchildren, Justin Abbott, Melanie Buck, Lisa Campbell and Jessica Townsend; and four great-grandchildren, Jackson and Landon Buck and Bradley and Matthew Abbott.
A Funeral Service will be held at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Dennis Harrell officiating. The burial services will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
