ZARING
William Zaring, son of Louis and Mary Zaring, was born at Happy Hollow, Iowa, Aug. 9, 1865, and died at the University hospital at Iowa City on Sept. 12, 1938, at the age of 73 years, one month and three days.
He was united in marriage Feb. 18, 1885, to Sarah Sackfield at What Cheer, Iowa. To this union six children were born, two dying in infancy, one son, Lou, in 1914.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, two daughters and one son, Emma of Albia, Dell of Long Beach, Cal., and John of Albia; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Hannah Kendall of Marshalltown, Mrs. Nora Price of San Pedro, Cal.; Jas. Zaring of Steamboat, Colo.; and Ben Zaring of Superior, Wyo.
Mr. Zaring has always followed the occupation of coal mining.
Services were at 2 p.m. at Allen and Lewis funeral home with the Rev. Mr. Fry officiating and burial in Oak View cemetery.
