Mr. Brumley died at 5:33 a.m. Tuesday October 11, 1988, at his residence after a long illness. He was born in Sabine Parish, La. and had been a resident of the Shreveport area for 45 years. Mr. Brumley was retired as a Church of Christ minister and was a member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dee Walton Brumley of Stonewall; seven children, Franklin Ray Brumley, Jr. of Arlington, Texas, Bobbie Sanders of Rockville, Md., Joe Brumley of Antler, Okla., Martha Fox of Shreveport, James Brumley and Wayne Brumley, both of Frierson, La., and Patsy Brashears of Huntsville, Texas; four sisters, Gladys Carter of Many, La., Vivian Stark of Grapevine, Texas, Ruby Lee Parker of Andrews, Texas and Opal Clark of Shreveport, La.; one brother, E.G. "Slick" Brumley of Midland, Texas; 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
