Floyd is my great grand uncle . Floyd married his wife Kathleen Sept 2 1946 . Floyd worked on the farm with his father until 1935 . He then owned his own farm of 52 acres 2 miles east of Barnwell Alberta . In the fall of 1949 he had the misfortune of contracting polio . After spending time in Taber Alberta hospital he was transferred to University Hospital in Edmonton Alberta for 6 months . The first year after i came back from the hospital the Barnwell church put his crop in . His nephews Arthur & Norman Anderson took charge for everything for that fist year . After that he rented his land to David Burbank . They stayed living an the farm until 1974 when they moved in to Taber . 1965 they sold 42 acres to Gary Jensen which left them with 10 acres of land to live on from 1965-1974 . When Floyd got polio he got around with the help of 2 wooden canes . There family was blessed with 6 kids 3 sons 3 daughters .
