Betty J. Thomas, 86, Cloverdale, formerly of Mooresville, passed away on March 5, 2011, at the Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 27, 1925 at Bloomington, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys V. [Butcher] Moore.
She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ, Indianapolis and was a retired Registered Nurse.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra K. Borer and Vicki L. Gibson, both of Cloverdale, her sister, Laura O'Brian, Jacksonville, FL, her brother, Roger Moore, Bedford, grandchildren, Samantha White Schafer, James C. Borer Price, great-grandchildren, Savana Fox and Lylian Schafer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clayton M. Heimsath and Don R. Thomas, her sisters, Barbara Cox, Wanda Moore, Irene East and her brother, Keith Moore.
