She was born June 23, 1915 in Beaverdam, the daughter of John and Myrtle Fruchey Bailey. Her husband, Franklin Thompson, died May 24, 1970.
Mrs. Thompson was formerly employed by Duff Truck Lines and was an elevator operator at Cook Tower for 18 years.
Survivors include a son, Gary of Simpsonville, S.C., two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Sharon) Dearth of Lander, Wyo., and Mrs. Robert (Lynda) Lawrence of 533 Franklin, three brothers, Robert Bailey of Gomer, Guy Bailey of 734 N. Metcalf and Paul Bailey of New York, a sister, Mrs. William (Mary) Mumea of Columbus Grove, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Siferd Main Street Chapel, Rev. Willard Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the dialysis unit at Lima Memorial Hospital.
