Born the daughter of James and Ann McLean-O'Brian, she was born in McGillivary Township, Huron County, Ontario. She immigrated in 1863 with her family and settled in Maple Valley Township, Sanilac County. She moved to Brown City in 1882 where she lived her remaining years. Annie never married and is buried next to her baby sister, Christy Jane.
