Ruel V. Churchill received his B.S. in physics from the University of Chicago and his M.S. in physics and Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Michigan. He began teaching operational mathematics at the University of Michigan in 1922. At the time of his death in 1987, Ruel Churchill was a Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at The University of Michigan. Retired to Tucson, AZ.
Co-Author, of three well known books on complex variables, on operational mathematics and on boundary value problems (including 1. Complex Variables & Applications, a textbook for a one-term introductory course in the theory and application of functions of a complex variables, 2.
