Golden, MS~~ Russell L. Tallant, 68, life expired on February 27, 2011 at his home, near Salem. He was born Nov. 20, 1942 in Itawamba, Co., to Clifford and Dera Cleveland Tallant.
He was a member and deacon of the Burntfields Baptist Church. He was retired from Blue Bell Inc; after many years of dedicated service. An avid gardner and enjoyed visiting with his friends.
Survivors include his wife Charlotte Montgomery Tallant of Golden, one daughter, Amber Franks of Plantersville, two sons, Waylon Sharp of Golden, and Johnny Burns (Rhonda) of Booneville; two grandson Kole South and Conner Burns; one granddaughter, Ariana Franks; one sister, Christine Holcomb of Fulton; three brothers, Lawrence (Joyce) Tallant of Wauchula, Fla., Tyson (Brenda) Tallant, of Tupelo, and Bryson (Connie) Tallant of Douglasville, Ga.; four sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, nine nephews and six nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Holcomb.
Services were at 11:00 a. m. on Wednesday March 02.. at the Senter Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Robert Humphres officiating.. Burial was in Burntfields Cemetery near Fairview.
