CHICKAMAUGA, GA - Agnes Alberta Medford, 95, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011, at her home.
She was a lifelong resident of the Chickamauga area and was a member of Saint Gerard Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Medford; and parents, Homer and Agnes Ireland.Survivors include her children and spouses, Robert and (Darlene) Medford, of Cleveland, Tenn., Therese and (Robert) Basham, of Chickamauga, Rita Medford and William Medford, both of Rossville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2011, in Saint Gerard Catholic Church with Father Liam Cohen officiating.
Burial will follow in Chickamauga City Cemetery.
The family will begin receiving friends after 5 p.m. today, all day Sunday and prior to leaving for the service Monday at the funeral home.
Robin Medford, Houston Edgeman II, Scott Ireland, T.J. Phillips, Freddy L. Phillips, II and Ryan Blackwell will serve as pallbearers.
