STANFORD. R.W. Heck died suddenly at 12:30 am Friday at his home near here of heart disease.


The funeral will be held at 2 pm Monday in the Christian church in Shirley. Interment will be in Park Hill cemetery. The body will be at Beck memorial home, Bloomington, until the funeral.


Mr. Heck had been in apparent good health until the time of his death. An inquest was held at 2 pm Friday by Coroner Lloyd G. Shoemaker in Beck Memorial home in Bloomington and the jury returned a verdict declaring death due to a sudden attack of heart disease.


Mr. Heck was born March 4, 1887 in Green county, Tennessee, a son of Lafayette and Elizabeth Heck. On Jan. 20, 1902 he married Lula Price who survives with the following brothers and sisters: William of Shirley, Robert of Tennessee, Grant, Stoke and Butler of Iowa, Mrs. Mattie Snyder of Missouri, Mrs. Mollie Buston of Wisconsin and Mrs. William Francie Williamson of Bloomington. There are also several nieces and nephews. His parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. [Bloomington Pantagraph, 15 Feb 1936, p. 2]
