Dave N. Stockton was the son of Josiah Smith Stockton and Elizabeth Welch who were married in 1830 in Lawrence County, TN and moved with their growing family ever westward to Missouri and then Hopkins County, Texas. David was number 13 of 14 children. He was married first, in Denton County, TX, to Lula Anne "Lou" Napper who died in 1901 in Oklahoma. He then married Sarah Anne Ward who outlived him. D. N. Stockton passed away at his home at Bebee at age 74.
