Edris Ellen Hayes passed away in her home early Wednesday morning, March 2 at the age of 93. She was born in Aliceville, Kansas on July 17, 1917.

She married Irl F. Hayes in 1942 who preceded her in death in 1978.

She is survived by two sons, Stanley Hayes and wife Brenda, Gordon Hayes and wife Shirley, Springfield; two step-daughters, Helen Kirk, Orlando, Fla., and Fran Wine, Medford, Oregon; three grandchildren, Emily Parnell and husband Jerry, Springfield, Jonathan Hayes and wife Tori, Jackson, Miss., Timothy Hayes and wife Kathryn, Columbia, Mo.; two step-grandchildren, Allen Fortner, Republic, and Annie Willingham, Gladstone, Mo.; and three great-grandchildren, Grand Parnell, Ella and Luke Hayes.

She was a member of High Street Baptist Church for over 30 years and currently a proud member of Seminole Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 5, 2011 in Bellview Cemetery, north of Springfield and under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

Friends may call at their convenience after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
