Emma V. Stewart, 72, of Palatka, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Putnam Community Medical Center.

Emma was born Friday, March 25, 1938 in Palatka, to the late Hardy and Valley (Sweat) Maynard. She enjoyed camping in the Smokies.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Otis B. Stewart.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her loving son, Edward Andreas of Carraway; loving daughter, Cathy McCullough and husband, Herb, of Palatka, brothers James Maynard of East Palatka and Roger Maynard of Jacksonville; grandchildren Virginia McCullough, Diane Andreas, Herschel Andreas, Tyler Thornton, Blakelyn Hoyt and husband Ken, and Kim Player; great-grandchildren Brice Player and Rileigh Player.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 4 at Watts Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 5, with pastor Wesley Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Etoniah Cemetery in Palatka.
