Surviving are one son, Roger, with whom he lived in Madison; two half-brothers, George Freels, Moberly, and Nelson Freels, Quincy, Ill.; one sister, Ruby Tucker, Jerseyville, Ill.; six grandchildren' and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Freels of Clarence; and a sister, Mrs. Vena Hartgrove of Madison, among others.
Visitation was held at the Thompson and Mackler Funeral Home in Madison. Rev. Thomas Downey, pastor of the Madison Baptist Church, conducted family graveside services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 1980, in Sunset Hill Cemetery at Madison.
