Possible buried in Drakes Creek area. He was a sheriff in Warren County, TN for several years in the 1830s, before it became part of Van Buren County. His wife, Mary "Polly" Logue died there in 1855. He removed to Arkansas after the Civil War, where his father and siblings previously moved, when he could no longer work the family's plantation.

His 2nd wife was Rosanna Drake, they were married Oct 1969 per the 1870 census.
