Lillian Burrage Hailey Seals, 97, of Preston, went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday,October 5, 2015, at her daughter’s home.

She was born January 27, 1918, in Preston, MS, to Thomas Erman burrage and Laura Edna Palmer Burrage. She was a lifelong member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. She was also a longtime member and past Worthy Matron of the Preston Chapter #274 Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Seals was a very active member of the Preston community. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.

Mrs. Seals was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Curtis Seals; a son; James E. Hailey; and four sisters, Mary E. Kreidt, Christine Anderson, Gladys Shepard and Minnie Carolyn Burrage.

She is survived by her daughter, Edna Seals Talbott and her husband, Al of Preston; daughter-in-law, Shirley Hailey Buford and her husband, T.D. of Jackson; four grandchildren, Rusty Hailey of Nashville, TN, Curtis Hailey of Jackson, Laura Talbott Sistrunk and her husband, Nathan of Philadelphia and Molly Talbott Carothers and her husband, Ryan of Winfield, AL; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Baker of Ashville, NC.

Pallbearers will be Al Talbott, Nathan Sistrunk, Ryan Carothers, Danny Hutcherson, Stephen Hutcherson and Kemp Tubby. Honorary pallbearers will be Talbott and Kirkland Sistrunk and Bonner and Bowdoin Carothers.
