Anton E. Rezac Is Buried at Weston


Anton E. Rezac died suddenly at his home in Weston at 5:45 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 1935, death being due to a stroke. At the time of his passing he had attained the age of 62 years, 8 months and 15 days.
Born in Checho-Slovakia, June 9, 1872, he came to America at the age of 18 and resided with his uncle, Joseph Janacek near Rescue. On August 29, 1899, he was united in marriage to Miss Frances Machacek at Wahoo, Neb.
They made their home on a farm south of Weston for some time and then resided on a farm near Valparaiso from which place they moved to Touhy, where Mr. Rezac was in the employ of Chapek & Hakel and later was employed by their successor in business, Mr. James Kacirek. Later on Mr. Rezac and family moved to Weston where he was employed by the Chicago Lumber Co., where he worked for several years and in past years has been in the employ of the Farmers Union Co., Inc., up to the time of his illness about a year and a half ago.
There remains to mourn his loss his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Voboril of Bruno, Mrs. Bessie Laudenbach and Miss Lillian Rezac of Omaha and four sons, Ernest of Lincoln, Anton of David City and Emil and Theodore at home, 6 grandchildren and one brother, Mr. Rudolph Rezac of Omaha.
The funeral was held Wednesday, February 27, 1935, from St. John's Catholic Church, Msgr. V. P. Mlejnek officiating. Interment was in the St. John's cemetery.
