Robert Washington Deariso of Sylvester, GA (formerly of Newnan, GA) passed away March 2, 2011. He was born in Albany, GA on December 8th, 1937 to the late Carl and Clara Wingate Deariso. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Carl Wingate Deariso.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Sikes Deariso of Sylvester, GA, sister Martha Jane Deariso Smith of Newnan, GA, daughters Aletha Chrietzberg of Willow Springs, NC, Sandra (Larry) Houze and Angela Deariso (fiancé Bryan Sumner) of Newnan, GA. Five grandchildren, Angel (Chris) Segrest, Stephanie Shelnutt, Kayla Houze, Caitie & Cody Chrietzberg. Great grandchildren, Madeline and Nathan Segrest.

He started his career with the Atlanta Police Dept in 1961. In 1975 he transferred to the newly formed Fulton County Police Dept. as Lieutenant.

He attended the FBI Nat'l Academy in 1976, 106th Session. He was promoted to Chief of communications for Fulton County in 1984 where he planned, designed and implemented Fulton County E-911 system. He retired in 1991 and later was hired to put in the E-911 system for Worth and Tift counties. He was a life member of the National Emergency Numbering Association.

He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church, Sylvester, GA, and a member of the Upper Room Sunday School class.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Friday March 4, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Sylvester, GA. with interment to following in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Dr. Ben Bush officiating.
