Elisha E. Whittemore, age 91, of the Oak Dale Community, passed away Saturday morning, March 1st, 1986 at Janwynella Nursing Home. He was a native of Macon County, the son of the late Wilson and Etta Hoskins Whittemore. His wife, Altie Frances Whittemore, preceded him in death in 1985. One daughter Earlene Carr, passed away in 1981. He was a retired merchant and a veteran of World War I.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 3rd, 1986 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tn., by Bro. Raymond Adock, Interment was in the Eulia Cemetery.
He is survived by one granddaughter, Sue Neal Scruggs of Westmoreland, Tn.; one sister Dona Doss of Hartsville, Tn.; two great granddaughters, Angela Ballou and Freda Scruggs.
