The obituary below is somewhat misleading. Amanda was married twice, the first to Daniel M Thayer who was the father of the surviving children below. The second marriage was to George F Byerly.

Mrs. Amanda Catherine Byerly

Ill five months with complications, Mrs. Amanda Catherine Byerly, 77, of Jackson-tp, six miles east in the Harding-hy, died at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Mrs. Byerly, a native of Zanesville, is survived by her husband, George F.; four daughters, Mrs. Norman Shick, Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Ora Blickinstaff, 435 McPheron-av; Mrs. Carl Thornbury, 716 Ewing-av; Mrs. Edith Thornbury, Lafayette; four sisters, Mrs. Della Lehmer, Los Angeles; Mrs. Ira Buck, Franklin Grove, Ill.; Mrs. Elizabeth Clark, Laverne, Calif.; Mrs. Isaac Mowery, Lafayette; two brothers, G. A. Snider, North Manchester, Ind.; Jess Snider, Cowney, Calif., and two grandchildren.

Time of funeral services has not been decided but rites will be held at the Davis-Miller and Son funeral home. Rev. Charles Zunkel, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, of which she was a member, will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
