Gene Autry was a friend that I will never forget, he had owned several places of business in brownwood before buying Arrow Coach Lines (a 50 year old bus company). He more than doubled the size of the company. Later, he moved the main office to Killeen Texas. He did all their charter work as well as other charters and regular runs to several cities. I had the pleasure of driving charters all over the U.S.A. and Canada for Mr. Autry. He was always good to me and helped in any way he could. We had a lot of laughs together. He was a first cousin of the singing cowboy and actor Gene Autry.
