OBITUARY:
Robert Earl Montgomery, 73, died Monday, July 22, 2002, at his home. Born Nov. 28, 1928, in Seattle, he lived in Vista for 43 years. He retired as a systems analyst from North Island Naval Station. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 22 years of service. Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faye Montgomery of Vista; son and daughter-in-law David and Rosetta Montgomery of Richland, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law Gloria and Gunnar Stevens of San Marcos; sister and brother-in-law Gail and Robert Herman of Seattle; and six grandchildren. No services will be held at the request of the deceased. Burial will take place Thursday, July 25, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of the North Coast, 5421 Avenida Encinas, Suite N, Carlsbad, CA 92008. Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.
