Hazel Marie (McCammon) Medley, 94, of Sullivan, passed away Wednesday March 2, 2011 at Carmel Health and Living Community.
She was born in Sullivan Co., Indiana March 31, 1916, the daughter of Roy McCammon and Zoe Ethel Gray McCammon. She married James Horace Medley on October 16, 1937.
Hazel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sullivan, and enjoyed attending Sunday school classes and church there until she moved to Carmel, Indiana in 2006 to be closer to her son and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, also her husband, James Horace Medley in 1993, one son, James Albert Medley, and two brothers, Glen and Herbert McCammon.
Survivors include her son, Leroy "Lee" Medley (Myra) of Carmel, Indiana, two sisters, Juanita Hiatt of Marshall, Ill., and June Cox of Sullivan, IN., 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and former daughter in-law Rosie Michael of Fishers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday March 5, 2011 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan with Rev. Timothy Fleace officiating. Interment will be in the Center Ridge Cemetery.
