Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Gammons Carr Moss, age 86, of Route 3, Lafayette were conducted Thursday, July 20, 1989, 2 p.m. from the Eulia General Baptist Church by Rev. J. T. Shrum. Pallbearers were Max Fierstein, Delbert Moss, Harold Carr, Darin Jernigan, Bobby Walrond and Sonny Pardue. Interment was in the Eulia Cemetery.

Mrs. Moss passed away Tuesday, July 18, 1989 at the Humana Hospital McFarland in Lebanon after a brief illness.

A native of Macon County, the daughter of the late Robert and Rebecca Sullivan Gammons. She was married to Earlin Carr in 1916, he died in 1928. She was them married to Delbert Lucian Moss in 1932, who died in 1976. She was a member of the Eulia General Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Viola Walrond and Mrs. Olene Meador, both of Lafayette; son James E. Carr, Rocky Mound Community; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
