The Blount native was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Predeceasing him were wife Avio Dunn; parents Joe D. "Crockett" and Sophia LaRue Dunn; son Roland Dunn; grandson Michael Boatwright; and sister Raphene Dunn.
Surviving are son Layman ( Jean) Dunn of Oneonta; daughter Norma (Billie) Boatwright of Burlington, Mich.; brother Donald Lee (Alvlene) Dunn of Snead; sister Betty Jean Young of Center Point; grandchildren Mark Boatwright, Cindy Dunn, and Cynthia Noojin; three great-grandchildren.
Paul Kelley and Sammie Johnson conducted services Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Burial followed at Liberty Hill Cemetery with Valley Chapel Oneonta directing. Pallbearers were Mark Boatwright, Dennis Dunn, Kenneth Handley, Edwin Young, Matthew Young, Jimmy Noojin, and Bradley Dunn.
